It is a sensitive stage because the Sanuki Chochin
    is easily influenced by designing.

Model-building,Winding Higo (a thin strip of bamboo).
The three techniques of winding a Higo are as follows.

 1. ”Jibari gake”……setting some round
 Higos on the wooden form

 2. ”Maki gake”……winding only one Higo
on round model like a coil.

 3. ”Ippon gake”……Secret technique.
 ”Jibari gake”,”Ippon gake” require more
 exertino and time.

 After winding Higo,paste Washi
                 (Japanese paper)

on the Higo and dry it.
Next, pull out the wooden form from inside of chochin,
then fold the chochin to adjust the shape, finally you
    have the ”Shirobari Chochin”(white chochin).
Draw the traditional letters and a family crest with pigment
on the chochin, and fix the attachments, finally Sanuki Chochin
    is completed.
